Water update for October 10th, 2008

Friday, October 10th, 2008 from: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Along Canada Toto Loop Rd, Canada Barrigada. Areas affected: from the intersection of Canada Toto Loop Rd and Taison Way in Canada Barrigada, to Toto Canada Rd intersection and Roy T Damian St., Toto.
GWA Crews will be making repairs to a defective valve.

Updates for the week of October 6th, 2008

GWA announces the following water updates for the community:

1. For Friday, October 10th, 2008 from: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Canada Toto Loop Rd, in Canada Barrigada. Areas affected: from the intersection of Canada Toto Loop Rd and Taison Way in Canada Barrigada, to Toto Canada Rd intersection and Roy T Damian St., Toto
GWA crews will be making repairs to a damaged valve.

2. From Wednesday, October 8th to Saturday October 11th residents along Route 8 in Barrigada from Benbea Apts to Days Inn will again be experiencing low water pressure due to water levels in the tank which service that area. Late Saturday night we should be able to regain tank levels.

3. Friday, October 10, 2008 in Maniglao water will be out from 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
Areas affected: Macheche Dededo, Latte Hts, Latte Plantation, Adacao, Pagat Mangilao off Route 15. A private contractor will tie-into an 8 inch GWA waterline.

4. Sunday, October 12, 2008 in Tamuning water will be out from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Areas affected will be from the future site of Chilis Restaurant up to the Hospital and all areas in between Governor Carlos Camacho Road (former Camp Watkins Road) and Chalan San Antonio. Outage will include both sides of Chalan San Antonio. Water will also be out along Ypao Beach Road and up to Airport Road. A private contractor along with GWA crews will be relocating existing water line, and will be replacing and installing 10" valves.

Automated Meter Reading Program continues in the village of Yigo

GWA meter installation crews continue their efforts to install new meters (AMR's) throughout Guam. From August 11th to September 15th crews will be in the village of Yigo. From September 15th to September 30th they will be installing meters in Barrigada Heights, Radio Barrigada, and parts of Latte Heights. Beginning October 1st, 2008 crews will continue the project in Agat and Santa Rita. For questions about this or other GWA projects call Heidi at 647-2603.

GWA announces credit card usage for paying water bills

GWA announces immediate terminations of customers who are in arrears with water bills

GWA is stepping up its disconnection campaing begun in 2007. Crews will be doubling disconnection efforts. If you are in the arrears of over 30 days expect to be disconnected. Water reconnection will take as long as 7 business days. If you cannot pay your entire bill please come to GWA immediately to make payment arrangements.
